Join a Mission Trip
Every year, Tim’s Clinic provides infants and children in and around Estelí, Nicaragua more than 3,000 free medical consultations, distributes more than $200,000 USD in free medication, and offers regular and coordinated follow-up care for children with chronic health conditions. A half-time pediatrician, half-time general physician, nurse, pharmacist, lab technician, program director and an assistant run the clinic, which is open five days a week. Our work is coordinated with the Nicaraguan Ministry of Health (MINSA), as well as with hospitals and other physicians in Estelí.
- Hope Clinic International’s work relies on the involvement of medical and surgical volunteers who raise the money to go on our medical mission trips or fund the trip themselves. They take their expertise to the poorest of the poor.
- We also need Spanish/English interpreters who are assigned to help doctors who cannot speak Spanish, and who can communicate with the pharmacy. Interpreters do not need to be fluent, but should be able to understand and communicate in colloquial Spanish.
- And of course, we need financial contributors to fund the cost of supplies, equipment, and more. There are plenty of ways for you to play a part!
Want to go on a medical mission trip? We are looking for people who can work to build positive relationships, affirm the value of the individual and culture, contribute to respect for self and others, and bring hope to the poor.
